Learn how to go from:
to this:

001. Open a new image and crop it down to 100 x 100.
002. Make a new layer and fill it with the color #ffb7fe. Make the Fill opacity 67%. Set it to Lighten at 100%.
003. Make a new layer and fill it with the color #b1f4ff and set it to Darken at 100%.
004. Make a new layer and fill it with the color #ffecb1 and set it to Screen at 100%.
005. Duplicate the base layer and drag the copy to the top of the layer palette. Set it to Overlay at 100%.
006. Duplicate the base layer again and drag the copy to the top of the layer palette. Set it to Screen at 100%.
