Scan Lines
You know those really cool diagonal lines you see people make on some graphics? Here's a tutorial to show you how you can make them! 001. First, open a new file. Make the height and width 10px and the background transparent.002. Make sure your foreground is black. If it's not, press 'D' (Default).
003. Draw a line with the pencil tool like so:

Zoom in if you need to (CTRL +).
004. Go to Edit >> Define Pattern... and name it whatever you want. Click OK.
005. Now on the image you want to add the lines to, make a new layer and go to Edit >> Fill. Make sure you select your pattern and make your opacity around 20 to 30%. Select OK. I used this on a pic of Aly and AJ.
006. If there are some places you don't want the scan lines, like on their faces, select the eraser tool and use a soft round brush. Click on the areas you don't want the effect.
That's it! Good luck on your scan lines!
